Tom Brokaw
Thomas John Brokaw is an American author and retired television journalist best known for anchoring NBC Nightly News from 1982 to 2004, during which he covered major events like Watergate, the fall of the Berlin Wall, and 9/11.[1][3] He began his career in local news in Omaha and Atlanta before joining NBC in 1966, co-anchoring The Today Show from 1976 to 1981, and has authored books including The Greatest Generation.[1][3] Brokaw retired from NBC Nightly News in 2004 but continued contributing to journalism through writing and specials.[2][4]
