Timothy A. Block

Dr. Timothy A. Block is a renowned microbiologist and immunologist who co-founded the Hepatitis B Foundation and its Baruch S. Blumberg Institute in 2003 to advance research for a cure for hepatitis B. He served as a tenured professor at Thomas Jefferson University for 20 years and Drexel University College of Medicine for 10 years, publishing over 180 papers and holding 12 U.S. patents. Dr. Block is internationally recognized for his scientific contributions to the field of hepatitis research and has held leadership roles including President of the Pennsylvania Biotechnology Center.
