Tim Dean

Timothy J. Dean is a British academic and author specializing in contemporary queer theory, psychoanalysis, and literary studies. He is the author of key works including *Beyond Sexuality* (2000), *Unlimited Intimacy: Reflections on the Subculture of Barebacking* (2009), *Porn Archives* (2014), and *Hatred of Sex* (2022, with Oliver Davis), and teaches at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research explores sexuality, subcultures, popular culture, and the history of pandemics such as HIV/AIDS.
