Tim Bowler
Tim Bowler (born 14 November 1953) is a British author renowned for his psychological thrillers and novels for teenagers and young adults, winning the prestigious Carnegie Medal in 1997 for River Boy. Born in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, England, he studied Swedish at the University of East Anglia, worked in forestry, the timber trade, and as a language teacher before becoming a full-time writer in 1990, and now lives in a village in Devon. Described as 'the master of the psychological thriller' by The Sunday Telegraph, his works explore themes of love, loss, and reality.
