Thomas Wilson

Thomas Wilson (c. 1523/1524–1581) was an influential English scholar, diplomat, and public servant born in Lincolnshire. Educated at Eton and Cambridge, he authored pioneering English-language works on logic (*The Rule of Reason*, 1551) and rhetoric (*The Arte of Rhetorique*, 1553), shaping educational practices. He served in diplomatic roles under Elizabeth I, including involvement in the examination of Mary, Queen of Scots.
