Thomas R. Bailey

Thomas R. Bailey is the 11th President of Teachers College, Columbia University and the George & Abby O’Neill Professor of Economics & Education, with specialties in education, labor economics, and econometrics.[1][2][3] He has served on the faculty since 1990, founding the Community College Research Center in 1996 and directing the Institute on Education and the Economy, and is a leading authority on community colleges.[1][2][3] Bailey earned his undergraduate degree in economics from Harvard University and his Ph.D. in labor economics from MIT in 1983.[1][6]
