Thomas Manton
Thomas Manton (1620–1677) was an English Puritan minister, theologian, and prolific preacher known for his expository preaching and extensive biblical commentary. He was born in Somerset, educated at Oxford, served as a chaplain to Oliver Cromwell and a clerk to the Westminster Assembly, and was later ejected from the Church of England in 1662 before continuing to preach after the 1672 Declaration of Indulgence.
