Thom Nicholson

Thom Nicholson was born in Springfield, Missouri, graduated from the Missouri School of Mines with an engineering degree, worked briefly in a uranium mine, and served 30 years in the US Army as a Green Beret, including in Vietnam, retiring as a Colonel in the late 1990s.[1][2][3] After military and civilian retirement, he began writing novels focused on the Civil War and the American West, such as *Stagecoach Graveyard* and *Ricochet*, and an autobiography of his Vietnam service.[1][2][3] He was married to Sandra with five children, enjoyed golf, stained glass, and road trips, and passed away on July 13, 2022.[1][3]
