Teresa Cadierno

Teresa Cadierno is a retired Professor of Second Language Acquisition at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU), where she joined in 1996 as Associate Professor of Spanish and was promoted in 2012, later serving as DIAS Chair of Humanities in 2022. Her research focuses on instructed second language acquisition, usage-based/cognitive linguistics approaches to L2 learning, and child L2 acquisition, particularly input processing, thinking for speaking, and factors influencing English development. She retired after nearly three decades at SDU, leaving a legacy of intellectual rigor and mentorship in SLA, bilingualism, and language pedagogy.
