Terence Hanbury White

Terence Hanbury White, known as T.H. White, was an English author and historian best known for his Arthurian novel quartet The Once and Future King, which includes The Sword in the Stone. Born in Bombay, India, he became a prominent figure in 20th-century fantasy literature and was celebrated for his pacifist ideals and vivid retelling of King Arthur's legend. He died in 1964 at the age of 57 while aboard a ship near Piraeus, Greece.
