Terence Dickinson
Terence Dickinson was a renowned Canadian astronomer, author, and astrophotographer best known for his book NightWatch: A Practical Guide to Viewing the Universe, which has introduced tens of thousands to amateur astronomy. Born in Toronto, he became fascinated with astronomy at age five after seeing a meteor, later becoming a full-time science writer in 1976, founding SkyNews magazine, and earning honors like the Order of Canada. He passed away on February 1, 2023, at age 79 after battling Parkinson’s disease.[1][2][3][5]
