Ted Dekker is an American author of Christian mystery, thriller, and fantasy novels, born on October 24, 1962, in Indonesia to missionary parents who worked among headhunter tribes in the jungle. After a lonely childhood spent partly in a boarding school, he moved to the United States, studied philosophy and religion, pursued various business ventures, and transitioned to full-time writing in the 1990s, publishing his first novel Heaven’s Wager in 2000. A New York Times bestselling author, he has sold over 10 million copies worldwide with popular works like Thr3e, Obsessed, and the Circle Series.[1][2][3]
