Tayari Jones

Tayari Jones is a New York Times bestselling American author and academic, best known for her novels including An American Marriage (2018), which was an Oprah’s Book Club selection and won the Women’s Prize for Fiction. Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, she graduated from Spelman College in 1991, earned a master’s from the University of Iowa in 1994, and an M.F.A. from Arizona State University in 2000; she currently teaches at Emory University.
