Tao Lin

Tao Lin is a Taiwanese-American novelist, poet, essayist, and artist known for his flat, affectless style and pioneering role in the Alt-Lit movement. Born in 1983 to Taiwanese parents in Alexandria, Virginia, he graduated from New York University with a degree in journalism and has published multiple novels, poetry collections, and a memoir. His works, including 'Taipei' and 'Leave Society,' often explore themes of pop culture, alienation, and dissident science.
