Sylvia Plath

Sylvia Plath (1932–1963) was an American poet, novelist, and short-story writer credited with advancing confessional poetry. Best known for her poetry collections The Colossus and Other Poems (1960) and Ariel (1965), and her semi-autobiographical novel The Bell Jar (1963), she struggled with depression and died by suicide in London shortly after the novel's publication.[1][2][3]
