Sydney Taylor

Sydney Taylor (1904–1978) was an American children’s author best known for the award-winning All-of-a-Kind Family series, which drew on her own experiences growing up in a Jewish immigrant family in New York City. Before becoming a writer, she also worked as a dancer and actress, and her books are now considered foundational in Jewish children's literature.
