Susan Quinn
Susan Quinn is an American biographer and journalist who grew up in Chillicothe, Ohio, graduated from Oberlin College, and began her career as a newspaper reporter in Cleveland after apprenticing as an actor at the Cleveland Playhouse. She published her first book in 1967 under the name Susan Jacobs and her first biography, A Mind of Her Own: The Life of Karen Horney, in 1987, earning the Boston Globe's Laurence L. Winship Award; her works include acclaimed biographies like Marie Curie: A Life and Eleanor and Hick, with contributions to The Atlantic, New York Times Magazine, and Boston Globe Magazine.
