Susan Campbell Bartoletti
Susan Campbell Bartoletti is an American author of children's literature known for both fiction and nonfiction, including *Hitler Youth: Growing Up in Hitler's Shadow* and *Black Potatoes*. Born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, she has also drawn on her rural Pennsylvania upbringing in many of her books and previously worked as an English teacher before writing full time.
