Susan B Neuman
Susan B. Neuman is a professor of childhood and literacy education at NYU Steinhardt, specializing in early literacy development, early childhood policy, curriculum, and reading instruction for children in poverty.[1][3] She previously served as U.S. Assistant Secretary for Elementary and Secondary Education, where she established the Early Reading First program and the Early Childhood Educator Professional Development Program.[1][2] She has authored numerous books on literacy and poverty, received lifetime achievement awards, and is a member of the Reading Hall of Fame.[3][7]
