Sun Tzu

Sun Tzu (c. 500 BCE) was a Chinese military strategist and general best known as the author of The Art of War, a treatise on military strategy. He served the state of Wu during the Spring and Autumn Period and led Wu to victory against the larger state of Chu at the Battle of Boju in 506 BCE. His work became one of the greatest texts on strategy ever written and spread throughout East Asia and eventually to Europe.
