Sue Monk Kidd
Sue Monk Kidd is an American novelist and essayist best known for her 2002 debut novel The Secret Life of Bees, which sold over 8 million copies and was adapted into a film. Born in 1948 and raised in Sylvester, Georgia, she worked as a registered nurse for 18 years before publishing her first book, God’s Joyful Surprise, in 1987, and later gained wide acclaim for her fiction exploring faith, family, and southern life.
