Stieg Larsson

Stieg Larsson (born Karl Stig-Erland Larsson) was a Swedish journalist, activist, and author best known for his Millennium crime novel trilogy, including 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,' published posthumously after his sudden death from a heart attack in 2004. He served as editor-in-chief of the anti-racist magazine Expo, researched right-wing extremism, and critiqued societal issues in Sweden through his writing. Raised initially by his grandparents in northern Sweden, he was politically active from a young age, including Trotskyist involvement.
