Steven Pressfield
Steven Pressfield is an American author of historical fiction, nonfiction, and screenplays, best known for his novel The Legend of Bagger Vance (1995) and the nonfiction book The War of Art (2002).[1][2] Born in Port of Spain, Trinidad, in 1943 to a Navy father, he graduated from Duke University in 1965, worked 21 different jobs across 11 states over 27 years, and published his first novel at age 52.[3][6] In 2012, he co-founded Black Irish Books with agent Shawn Coyne.[1]
