Stevan Harrell
Stevan Harrell is an anthropologist specializing in China and Taiwan, who taught at the University of Washington from 1974 to 2017 in the departments of Anthropology, China Studies, and Environmental Studies. After retiring, he moved to Bellingham with his wife Barbara and is planning a book on the history of agriculture in Whatcom County. His work focuses on collaborations between earth and social scientists to address human-environment relations and local problem-solving.
