Stephen E. Fienberg
Stephen E. Fienberg was an American-Canadian statistician and professor at Carnegie Mellon University, where he held appointments across statistics, machine learning, Heinz College, and CyLab. He made influential contributions to algebraic and multivariate statistics, privacy and confidentiality, forensics, survey methodology, and the use of statistics in public policy, and was a founding editor of major statistical journals.
