Stephen E Ambrose
Stephen E. Ambrose (1936-2002) was an American historian and bestselling author renowned for his works on World War II, including D-Day, Band of Brothers, and Citizen Soldiers, as well as biographies of Presidents Dwight D. Eisenhower and Richard Nixon. He was a longtime professor at the University of New Orleans and founded both the Eisenhower Center and the National D-Day Museum, where he preserved oral histories from thousands of WWII veterans.
