Stephen Crook

Steven Crook, born in 1969 in Brighton, England, graduated from the University of Leicester’s Faculty of Law and moved to Asia in 1991, settling in Tainan, Taiwan. Since 1996, he has written extensively on travel, environment, culture, food, and business for publications including CNN Traveler Asia-Pacific and Christian Science Monitor. He is the author or co-author of books such as Taiwan: The Bradt Travel Guide (3rd ed., 2019) and A Culinary History of Taipei (2018), and works as an editor and consultant.
