Stephanie Smith
Stephanie A. Smith is an American academic and novelist born in Oceanside, New York, who earned her PhD from UC Berkeley in 1990. She teaches literature and women's studies at the University of Florida and is known for her work examining the intersection of science, literature, politics, race, and gender. Her publications include the Warpaint Trilogy (2012-2014), the science fiction novel Other Nature (1995), and critical works such as Conceived by Liberty (1995) and Household Words (2006).
