Stanley Aronowitz

Stanley Aronowitz was a distinguished American sociologist, labor scholar, and political activist known for his influential work on the labor movement, class consciousness, and critical education. He taught at the City University of New York Graduate Center for decades and authored numerous books, including 'The Knowledge Factory' and 'The Death and Life of American Labor'. Aronowitz was a prominent voice in the New Left movement and advocated for organized labor and civil rights throughout his life.
