Stan Tekiela
Stan Tekiela is a naturalist, wildlife photographer, and author known for originating popular state-specific field guides such as Birds of (state name) Field Guide, Wildflowers of (state name), and Trees of (state name), with over 175 field guides, nature books, and children's books to his credit. He grew up on the West Side of Chicago, worked as a paramedic for Hennepin County while earning his degree in natural history, and has spent his career photographing and observing wildlife across the country. As of late 2023, he was retiring from his role as Eden Prairie's longtime nature guide.[1][2][3][4][6]
