Stan Morain

Stanley A. Morain (1941–2025) was a geographer and academic who earned his PhD in Geography from the University of Kansas in 1970 and later served at the University of New Mexico. He received the 2007 Pecora individual award for his contributions to photogrammetry and geoinformation. Morain passed away on September 30, 2025, after a life well lived.
