SparkNotes
SparkNotes is an educational company founded in 1999 by Harvard students Sam Yagan, Max Krohn, Chris Coyne, and Eli Bolotin, originally as part of a website called The Spark, providing study guides for literature, poetry, history, film, and philosophy. It later expanded to cover subjects like biology, chemistry, economics, health, math, physics, and sociology. Until 2022, SparkNotes offered free resources funded by advertisements, with the introduction of SparkNotes Plus as a paid service.
