Sophie Kinsella
Sophie Kinsella, real name Madeleine Sophie Wickham (née Townley), was a bestselling English author renowned for her chick-lit Shopaholic series featuring financial journalist Becky Bloomwood's shopping misadventures. Born in London on 12 December 1969, she studied at New College, Oxford, worked as a financial journalist, and sold over 50 million books in more than 60 countries before dying on 10 December 2025 at age 55 from brain cancer.[1][2][3]
