Solomon Hurwitz

Solomon Hurwitz was a pioneering figure in Jewish education in America, known for founding America's first Jewish High School and serving as an editor and lecturer in Semitic Languages. He tragically died at the age of 32 on January 12, 1920, from the Spanish Flu pandemic while working at Beth Israel Hospital.
