Soledad Puertolas
Soledad Puértolas Villanueva (Zaragoza, 1947) is a Spanish writer, journalist, and member of the Real Academia Española since 2010. She studied Journalism and earned a Master's in Spanish and Portuguese Language from the University of California, beginning her literary career with the 1979 novel *El bandido doblemente armado*, winner of the Premio Sésamo, and later winning the prestigious Premio Planeta in 1989 for *Queda la noche*. Her works, including novels, short stories, and essays, explore themes of identity, memory, and human relationships.
