Sir John Mortimer

Sir John Mortimer was an English barrister, novelist, playwright, and screenwriter, best known for creating the fictional barrister Horace Rumpole and for his many plays, novels, and television scripts. He was also a prominent advocate for civil liberties and free speech in Britain.[2][3][4]
