Sir George Douglas
Sir George Brisbane Scott Douglas, 5th Baronet (1856–1935) was a Scottish poet, writer, and baronet known for his works on poetry, Scottish history, and folklore. Born in Gibraltar to a Scottish father and a Gibraltarian mother, he was educated at Harrow School and Trinity College, Cambridge, and managed the family estate at Springwood House in Kelso, Scotland. He published his first book in 1880, often using the name Sir George Douglas, and remained unmarried throughout his life.
