Sigrid Nunez

Sigrid Nunez is an American novelist and writer known for her spare, witty prose and for exploring themes of loneliness, mortality, grief, and identity. Born in New York City in 1951, she is the author of novels including *The Friend*, which won the National Book Award in 2018, as well as *A Feather on the Breath of God* and *Sempre Susan*.
