Shyh-yuan Lee
Shyh-Yuan Lee is a Taiwanese particle accelerator physicist born in Southern Taiwan in 1943, who earned his PhD in 1972 from SUNY Stony Brook on nuclear structure theory. He worked at prestigious institutions including the Max Planck Institute and Brookhaven National Laboratory, before becoming Professor Emeritus of Physics at Indiana University. Renowned for his pioneering contributions to nonlinear beam dynamics, chaos in accelerators, and projects like the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider and International FAIR.
