Shirreff

Emily Anne Eliza Shirreff (1814–1897) was an English pioneer in the cause of women's higher education and a key figure in establishing the Girls' Public Day School Company. She served on the executive committee of Girton College, Cambridge, and worked alongside her sister Maria to advance educational opportunities for women in England.
