Shirley Smith

Shirley Smith, better known as Mum Shirl, was an Aboriginal Australian activist, social worker, and community leader of Wiradjuri descent. Born on Erambie Mission in Cowra, she became a prominent advocate for Aboriginal rights and welfare in Sydney, dedicating her life to supporting marginalized communities and prisoners.
