Shibata Renzaburo
Shibata Renzaburo (1917–1978) was a renowned Japanese author and Sinologist known for his historical and adventure novels, particularly the 'Nemuri Kyōshirō' series. He graduated from Keio University, won the Naoki Prize in 1952 for 'Iesu no Ei', and produced new Japanese translations of 'Romance of the Three Kingdoms' and 'Water Margin'.
