Sheila Paine

Sheila Paine (29 September 1929 – March 2022) was an English writer and expert on Islamic embroidery and textile traditions. She is known for travel books such as "The Afghan Amulet" and for documenting embroidered motifs and textile cultures across regions from Greece to Central Asia.
