Shawn Henning

Shawn Henning, born February 8, 1955, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, was wrongfully convicted at age 17 of the 1985 felony murder of Everett Carr in New Milford, Connecticut, and sentenced to 50 years in prison.[1][2][4] He served 30 years before being exonerated on July 10, 2020, when all charges were dismissed due to lack of forensic evidence linking him to the crime.[1][4] Henning maintained his innocence throughout, with no eyewitnesses or DNA evidence tying him to the brutal attack.[2][3]
