Sharon Garlough Brown

Sharon Garlough Brown is an author, spiritual director, speaker, and cofounder of Abiding Way Ministries, providing spiritual formation retreats and resources. She is best known for her bestselling Sensible Shoes Series of spiritual formation novels, including Sensible Shoes, Two Steps Forward, Barefoot, and An Extra Mile, along with other works like Shades of Light and Remember Me. Born in Arcadia, California, she graduated from Smith College with a B.A. in English and from Princeton Theological Seminary with an MDiv, and has served in pastoral ministry in Scotland, Oklahoma, England, and West Michigan before focusing on writing and retreats.[1][2][4][6]
