Seymour Simon
Seymour Simon is a prolific author of nearly 300 science books for children, renowned as the 'dean of the children’s science field' by the New York Times, with over 75 titles named Outstanding Science Trade Books by the National Science Teachers Association. Born in New York City, he graduated from the Bronx High School of Science, earned a degree in animal behavior, and taught junior high school science for 23 years before becoming a full-time writer in the late 1960s or 1979. He has also written fiction series like Einstein Anderson, resides in New York's Hudson Valley with his wife Joyce, and continues to research, photograph, and publish from there.
