Sebastian Kneipp
Sebastian Kneipp (1821–1897) was a German Catholic priest and a pioneering forefather of the naturopathic movement, best known for developing the 'Kneipp Cure,' a holistic hydrotherapy system based on five tenets: water, herbs, exercise, nutrition, and balance[1][9]. He cured himself of tuberculosis through cold-water baths in the Danube and later built hospitals in Bad Wörishofen while spreading his teachings worldwide[2][4]. His major writings include 'So sollt ihr leben' ('This Is How You Should Live') and 'Meine Wasserkur' ('My Water Cure')[4][9].
