Scott Richard Shaw

Scott Richard Shaw is a U.S. entomologist, professor of entomology, and curator of the University of Wyoming Insect Museum since 1998. He earned his B.S. from Michigan State University in 1977 and M.S. and Ph.D. in systematic entomology from the University of Maryland in 1981 and 1984, respectively, followed by post-doctoral work at Harvard's Museum of Comparative Zoology. Shaw has discovered over 150 insect species, including parasitic wasps named after celebrities, and authored 'Planet of the Bugs: Evolution and the Rise of Insects.'
