Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan
Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was an Indian philosopher, scholar, and statesman who served as the first Vice President of India (1952–1962) and the second President of India (1962–1967). He was a renowned academic and advocate of religious tolerance, and his birthday, September 5, is celebrated annually in India as Teachers' Day.
