Sarah Tantillo

Sarah Tantillo is an educator, author, and consultant specializing in literacy instruction, best known for her book 'The Literacy Cookbook: A Practical Guide to Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening Instruction' (Jossey-Bass, 2012). She taught high school English and humanities for 14 years in suburban and urban New Jersey public schools, including seven years at the high-performing North Star Academy Charter School of Newark, where her students achieved a 100% passing rate on the HSPA for Language Arts and Literacy. A Princeton Class of 1987 graduate with an Ed.D., she founded the New Jersey Charter School Resource Center and the New Jersey Charter Public Schools Association, and now coaches K-12 schools on curriculum, data-driven instruction, and school culture.
